    Spiritual Sexual Shamanic Initiation - Level 2

    SSSEx begins its work once the decision is made that this is the way we actually want to live and not just a peak experience on a workshop. Level 2 guides the participant through a series of self - initiations that say goodbye to old patterns of relating and anchor the identity in the deep self that is already free, inherently loving and dynamically creative in the world.

     

    This week provides the teachings and experiences we should have had around our spirituality, our relationship with the transpersonal and its integration with the personal and universal. This provides us with the opportunity to take initiation - to shift our identity into the soul and become the source of our own life, love and empowered expression in the world. Its symbol is the offering up of the heart. Once the life is 'given up’ or ‘taken over’ by this deeper part of ourselves then we are ready for the greater mysteries - the identification with the universal life of our cosmos and planet. The self becomes a source of inflowing current to our surroundings enabling others to awaken, initiate and transform. We become a creative force in our environment.

     

    The Level 2 training deepens the experience of level 1, allows for more hands on practice with some of the tools and techniques taught and provides an alchemical container for transformation through group practice, ritual and meditation.

     

    The Shamanic Initiation

     

    Its core is death and rebirth. This overcomes the fear of death in the base chakra and also sets the shaman apart from the tribe in order to serve the tribe in a special way. It is an essential component to the integration of sexual and spiritual worlds because it results in the transcendence of ego and the dedication of ones awakened powers to the collective. The result is Power.

     

    The Sexual Initiation

     

    The rituals in Level 1 awaken a deeper relationship with our sexual energies. In Level 2 we explore the unification of our masculine and feminine, conscious penetration and sacred union. The result is Love.

     

    The Spiritual Initiation

     

    Meditation training and essential identity inquiry open us into our primordial awareness and provide a taste of sunyata or the void experience. An invocatory temple combined with a personal vision quest where each individual has an opportunity for deeper levels of their being to be contacted, honoured and integrated. The result is Presence.

     

    This is an individual process that happens in a group environment and a level of ability to be self responsible is needed to navigate the spiritual sexual shamanic space. ISTA is a mystery school and approaches trauma from the shamanic perspective of connecting with the body and soul. We recommend that if there is known deep seated trauma, individuals seek one on one sessions and get the ok from their therapist before entering the group process.

    Bruce Lyon

    LEAD FACILITATOR

    Bruce loves to explore the places where the personal, planetary and cosmic journey meet, and to guide others on their initiatory journey into the life force that lies behind both the esoteric and erotic dimensions of love. He is the founder of Highden Temple, Shamballa School and helped developed the ISTA trainings. He has qualifications in ecology, psychology, astrology, and the esoteric arts and sciences. He has written several books, taught extensively around the world over the last two decades and has a passion for the emergence of temples and modern mystery schools.     Winter is part of the teaching faculty at The International School of Temple Arts (ISTA) and Highden Temple. She is also the founder of Magdalena, a global training for the feminine mysteries.

     

    Winter is passionate about liberating herself and others to remember the limitless nature of their dark essence. Winter has a deep calling to bring forth the temples of the new earth, to create spaces that penetrate worlds, that merge spirit and matter.

    KamalaDevi McClure is a mystic, muse, and mentor. (Pronouns: they/them aka KD) As a pansexual, genderqueer art activist, KD has authored seven books.

    They’ve starred on Showtime’s reality TV series, Polyamory: Married & Dating, and been featured on Dr. Drew, Tyra Banks, and the award-winning documentary, Sex Magic.

    After almost 20 years of teaching tantra, sacred sexuality, and temple arts around the world, KD currently lives by the ocean with their husband and son in San Diego where they are on a virtual book tour for 2 new books: Sex Shamans and 52 Fridays.

    Who is Philippe Lewis?

     

    Philippe is a relationship educator. He created Exquisite Dark Love to support men and women in making better choices for themselves and each so they can become sovereign humans through the practice of connection, trust, consent, intimacy, love, and the exploration of attachment theory. He is the co-founder of ReMENber Brotherhood Journey, a coordinator with ISTA, the International School of Temple Arts, and a modern voice on critical thinking around morality and the integration of Masculine, Feminine, Dark, Light, and Shadow. Over the years, he founded the Open Relationship Community, the Attachment Community, and the Consent Community to support new emerging conversations on these important topics. He is also the happy father of an 11 year old boy who teaches him how to surrender to love and life more fully every day.

    Our venue is nestled in a private 260-acre pristine valley, in the beautiful rolling hills of Northern California, 2 1/2 hours west of Sacramento and 2 1/2 hours north of the San Francisco Bay Area. We will have exclusive use of the property allowing for privacy and serenity.

    Unique Features: The Heart Lodge is a beautiful 2,400 sq. ft. multi-purpose room with radiant heated floors & a floor to ceiling stone fireplace. Large Swimming pool and large hot tub with plenty of space for relaxation and sun bathing. Stone Labyrinth plus numerous hiking trails throughout the valley.
